Just another Summer day

Here are some pics of the kids this week. Nothing big to report which is a good thing:) I wish I had more pictures to post of Rylan but he is never here anymore, and when he is he hides from the camera. Of course I have plenty of Savanna, when she sees the camera she automatically says "Cheeese" with a huge cheesy smile.

School, School, and more School

Sorry I haven't posted anything lately. We really haven't had any big events or grand stories to tell the past couple of weeks. I have been super busy with my summer class, and taking assessment tests for my fall classes that I haven't had time for anything else lately. I'm taking a Pharmacology class this summer and its pretty interesting and not as hard as I had anticipated. Of course its pretty difficult, but much more intersting then my other classes from the past year. But wow it takes up a ton of time. I have a test every week over the drugs and their actions tests of prescription dosage math problems....surprisingly I'm pretty good at these "dosage" math exams. In between taking tests for pharmacology I had been taking a Chemistry assessment test that you have to pass before you can take Physiology, and the darn class filled up before I could make an acceptable grade, so that was pretty upsetting, its going to put me a semester behind. So anyways, the past couple of weeks have been pretty rough for myself, thankfully only a couple weeks left of summer school and then I get a slight break before fall semester begins.

As for Rylan and Savanna, they have been good. Rylan has been going to vacation bible school all week, and he really likes it! Savanna is actively potty training now and doing great with that...she decided on her own to start using the potty, yay!

I wish I had new pictures to share, but I don't. I will try and get some new pictures this weekend!

It's Been 10 years since B Graduated from High School!

This weekend was Brandon's 10 year High School Reunion. It was held out at the Dell Diamond on Friday night. There was a barbecue picnic and then we went to the game. The reunion was alright, we hung out with the usual friends who are still around regularly. I met a few former friends of Brandon. There were even a couple people from my class there whom also married a graduate of the class of 98. The game was good, kinda hard to keep up with Savanna, and Rylan was in a grumpy mood...not sure why....he seems to be coming to that phase in his life when you aren't really happy to be out at a family outing, and your dieing to be home hanging out with your friends. The Express won against Oklahoma, yay! It was also Friday Night Fireworks, and they were awesome! They were even better than the 4th of July fireworks show.
This last picture is of Savanna tonight at bedtime. Last Thursday night we got out the air mattress just for fun for the kids. Well, Savanna has now claimed it as her new bed and will not sleep in her crib. I guess this means she is transitioning to a big girl bed, and we will soon be looking for a new big girl bed for her.

Happy Birthday Brandon & Happy 7th Anniversary to us!

Yesterday was Brandon 28th birthday! Of course it was more exciting for the kids then him, but I think he had a pretty good day. He diden't want a birthday cake because he's not into sweets, so the kids and I got up early and went to get Krispy Creme Donuts, and we made him a donut cake and put candles all over it. Brandon got a kick out of it! And Rylan lost his 2nd tooth this day too!

Today is our 7th wedding anniversay! Wow time ure does fly! We are making a nice dinner and hopefully the kids will cooperate and let us eat in peace, haha, yeah right!

Here are some fun pics from this weekend! We went to the firworks show for 4th of July, and then on Saturday we had a "Cuban" Party at my parents house. Lots of fun was had this past long weekend!

Bye Bye Paci!

As everyone knows Miss Savanna is quite fond of her pacifier. Well this past Sunday I had completely had it with always having to search the house for one of 10 pacifiers hidden. On a typical day we had to search at least 6 times for one. Savanna would just drop it anywhere, the toy box, behind shelves, inside shoes, in the name the place we have found one there. She would cry and whine for her "blah" (what she called her paci?!?no idea where that came from) until we found one.
So, Sunday afternoon she comes to me crying for one, I tell her she has to go look. When she comes back without one, and still crying for one, I decide in that moment that we are done with the pacifier. It truly is time she is two years old. Brandon looked at me as if I was crazy, but agreed and went along with the story we told her. I simply said, " Savanna, I think the paci fairies finally came and took all of the pacifiers to the tiny new babies. The new babies will be so so happy now! You are so nice for letting them have them!" She looked at me like I was crazy, and said "babies?", I told her "yes." and she then ran to her room and started looking through her baby dolls for a paci. I followed her and told her not those babies, the real babies . She whined a little but didn't protest too much.
Brandon and I had to make a mad dash around the house finding the lost pacifiers to hide again. So far Savanna only found one and Brandon snatched it from her before she could put it in her mouth and we distracted her with candy to make her forget what she worked. This all happened Sunday evening, so tonight is night three without the paci. Bedtime is a little difficult, but not too bad. This afternoon was the worst so far, she was just too flustered and crying so so hard, it broke my heart. I just had to hold her tight and rock her...that passed and she was fine again. Every now and then during the day she will run up to me and say "Babies!" all excited, so I know that means she is still thinking about where her pacifiers went. There is no turning back now, three days is a very long time for this sort of thing. I'm praying that tomorrow is a little easier for her.

Here are some pics of her with her paci, the last time anyone will see her with one. I really had to search for pics of because I always yanked it out of her mouth for pics!
