I am so glad it's Friday!! This week has been so long for me. Rylan has had lots of extra homework lately...he is in two "extra" classes to help him with reading, and they each send home truely takes us about an hour to finish his homework...isen't this supposed to 1st grade?!? Oh well, his reading is improving so we'll keep on truckin. My spring semester classes are going in full force too. I'm finding it hard to keep up with my work this time around. I have been working on my first english paper all week, and I'm still not finished! I better get a grip on things or I'll be paying for it later.

Okay, here a couple pics of my adorable children this week!!

Brandon heard the song playing to the slide show on t.v. and was saying how he liked it, I remembered this slide show had that song so I found it to show it to him, and was in aww of how much they have grown....a few times I got kinda teary eyed.

Ugh, So sorry there aren't any new pictures. I hope to get some tomorrow. I have been battling a tummy bug that keeps coming and going. Savanna has a horrible cold or allergies too. Hopefully tomorrow we'll be feeling more like ourselves again.

Pictures From Tuesday and Wednesday

Tuesday evening we I started making pancakes to put in the freezer for easy breakfasts before school in the mornings for Rylan. He came in and decided to take charge, all I did was sit on the counter and supervise. I asked him where he learned to flip pancakes and he said from Pop, when he spends the night. Here are some pics of our little cook. Please excuse the him for being shirtless, I don't know why but he always takes his shirt off at home. And its not something worth fighting in my opinion.
Today I caught sweet little Savanna Grace partaking in a little wall decorating in her brothers room....I'm sure he'll love this when he sees it. Note the "I was caught in the act and now I'm going to look sweet and innocent" face.Of course I couldn't be that mad at her, she did look too cute with her braided piggy tails, plus those were awesome lines drawn by a two year old, lol! Just another wall to clean once I finally remember to buy some more of those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers.

Lately I have been getting into "couponing", there are many blogs you can find online about what deals you can get, where and when, and what coupons are coming out in the newspaper etc. So far the blog: has been very helpful, and this one, has been helping me get awsome deals at Walgreens. So I was at Walgreens today checking out and the lady helping me was so nice and knew the couponing hobby, she even shared with me that they put out their new coupons for the week every Saturday afternoon, so on Saturday you can use that current weeks ad coupons and the new coming weeks ad coupons together, possibly earning you money for shopping there. I'm not sure my brain could figure that one out yet, it took a few weeks to finally figure out how to "stack" coupons to get free items at Walgreens. Apparently you can do this at other stores too such as CVS, and Randalls, but every store has different rules. So far I think I have the rules for Walgreens down. Here are my deals so far: Last Sunday I got 2 boxes Electrol dishwasher tabs, 4 Garnier Fructise shampoos and conditioners, a roll of Reynolds wrap foil, and 6 cans of Ajax, total spent was 2.00. This week I got 2 cans of Oust air sanitizer, 2 tubs of Lysol wipes, a tube of Aquafresh toothpaste, a box of Kleenex, for 2.50. Wow. I have a few more coupons to get the same items later this week, I didn't want to get them all at seemed a little selfish, lol! Buying the same things today at HEB would have been around 15.00. Since I saved so much I let the kids pick out a treat and we found these giant Lolly Pops for only a dollar! They were amazed, and both said a big "Thank you Mommy!" as if I have never bought them a treat before, ha ha.

Happy Birthday to the Best Nana in the Whole World!! We Love You!!

Tuesday Jan.6 2009

Well, If you look real close to Savanna's hair you'll see what I'm talking about. Today was like the third time she has rubbed lip gloss into her hair...and it is totally impossible to just simply wash out. The first time this happened I was not home, so Brandon tried to wash it out with just soap and water. I arrived home to a very sticky, greasy headed little girl. I googled what to do, and found that corn starch helps absorb the petroleum jelly and then it will rinse out. It works!! Well for the most part, I usually have to cornstarch her hair, wash, rinse, repeat cornstarch a couple times...but at least her hair is back to normal by the next day! Why don't I put all the lip gloss away??
Onto these pictures, LOL! I'm not sure what to say about them, Rylan and Savanna were just awfully goofy Tuesday evening. Please ignore the dirty was right after dinner and right before bath time.

Sat. Jan.3, 2009

Here is pretty Savanna playing with paint this morning. Look at how curly her hair looks...I hadn't brushed her hair yet today, and this was how it dried after her cute!
This is Rylan doing what he does best...playing Mario Kart on his Nintendo ds. You can still see the scratch on his cheek from playing football yesterday. This is not my ideal picture of Rylan to have posted today, but right after it was taken I noticed that my lense was not rotating to focus....its broke! I left my camera sitting within reach of Miss S, and she threw it on the floor...I am so so Sad about this...its my own fault though for leaving it out. Luckily I have another lense from our older camera, so I'll have to work with that until I can buy a new one...hopefully sooner than later. It looks like I will be obsessing over new lenses and hinting for a new one for my valentines gift from Brandon..hint hint.

Friday, January 2, 2009

Today was a beautiful day, we packed up Rylan's bike and headed out to Brushy Creek Lake Park. We walked (Rylan rode his bike) around the lake, fed the ducks, walked again up across the damn and then had to walk back, we then played on the playground and then played in the giant sand volleyball court. I was hoping to have some good pictures of our day, but when I pulled out my camera the battery had died...ugh, oh well. I got some more pictures later this afternoon while playing outside. To end the day we had a very yummy steak dinner and finally opened our bottle of champagne we had bought for New Years.

Rylan's picture today shows the rough and tumble boy he truly is...he went to play football in the field with his friends today and returned with a scratched up face and of course dirty face...yet he still looks so handsome.

This afternoon Savanna decided she would peddle on her bike all by herself. (this usually doesn't happen, she likes to be pushed.) So this is a picture of her screeching with excitement as she is about to "get me".

Happy New Year!

It's hard to believe that 2009 is already here. Our family had a rough past few months, with the passing of Brandon's Dad. We miss him dearly. I hope that 2009 brings our family and friends a year full of joy and love.
I decided that this year I want to do a project with my blog...I will be posting a new picture of my kids each day this year. I want to be able to look back at the end of the year and see how they grow and change everyday. Everyday the picture will be different, not always posed, usually candid, so that I can catch their true personality that day.

My pictures for January 1st, are of them each getting some much needed rest. With the holidays coming to a close, they are exhausted!
